Christmas Collections

2013 Saw the start of our Christmas Collections.

This year the club organised two full day tin shakes outside stores in Bracknell, collecting for two charities.

The first was at Martins Heron Tescos where the club collected 225 towards the UNICEF Syriah Appeal. This is match funded by the British Government, meaning a fantastic 450 was sent off to Syriah for Christmas.

At the second event, we raised 250  for a more local cause- Bracknell Foodbank. At this time of year there are more people than ever relying on foodbanks for food for their family.

"The Foodbank provides nutritionally balanced emergency food for people in need in the Bracknell Forest area who are referred by a wide range of local agencies and organisations. Each food pack contains enough food for three days and the food is donated by local people and businesses."

The events were great fun despite the weather and a great result of over 700 going to local and international charities.
